Hailing from Los Angeles, Touché Amoré set themselves against the glamour and greed of their hometown culture with "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse", the passionate debut LP/CD set for release in July through 6131/Collect Records.

In the last year, Touché Amoré have become of vibrant part of the flourishing West Coast hardcore punk scene, successfully bridging gaps between subgenres. By playing their explosive and sincere music in every basement, VFW hall, club and space up and down the West coast, along side hardcore torchbearers Killing the Dream, Trash Talk and This is Hell as well as like-minded, discordant bands Ampere, Comadre and La Dispute, they have brought a feeling of togetherness and positivity to a scene they love. Unafraid to play their emotionally charged fury in front of uninitiated crowds, Touché Amoré has even shared the stage with upbeat pop-punk bands such as Broadway Calls and folk-punk heroes Fake Problems making close friends along the way.

"...To the Beat of a Dead Horse" marks a real turning point in the life of the band. Where TA's demo 7", on No Sleep Records, was full of promise, "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse," never feels fully realized: the guitars bend and weave but always maintain their drive, the rhythms are frequently off kilter but never off-time and the vocals are screamed at the edge of breaking up but they're always exciting, pleasing even. This record was completed not compromised.

The record features guest vocals by Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Modern Life Is War's Jeff Eaton. It was recorded by Alex Estrada at Earth City Studios and Mastered by Paul Miner(Suicide File, New Found Glory, Unbroken).

West Coast Hardcore powerhouse, 6131 Records(Alpha&Omega, Swamp Thing, Bad Seed) has teamed up with Geoff Rickly's new vinyl-only Collect Records(United Nations) to release this record in a beautiful duel LP/CD package.

After a spot on this year's Sound and Fury festival, the band will be touring extensively in support of "...To the Beat of a Dead Horse," with dates along side friends La Dispute and Envy among many others.

On November 19, 2010 it was announced that the band had signed to Deathwish records and will enter the studio this winter to record their new album, to be released in early 2011.

On February 21, 2011 it was announced that their new record "Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me" was finished and will be soon released on Deathwish records.

According to Balance and Composure, they can be loud, quiet and everything in between. A pretty apt description in a nutshell. Once you get down to an intricate school of thought, the lyricism of singer/guitarists Jonathan Simmons and Andrew Slaymaker show things in a different light. Having all met in the Philadelphia suburb of Doylestown, PA through mutual projects during their high school years, Balance and Composure decided to start what they called a "real band" once former projects dissolved. Once completing the formation of the band, Balance and Composure hit the ground running and have yet to look back.

A sonic assault melding influences such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Neutral Milk Hotel and Nirvana, their upcoming full length "Separation" adheres to the band's namesake. A cohesive listen of anthemic and melodic guitar blitzes with poignant lyricism, rhythmic thrusts and an abrasive pop knack in its overall deliverance, "Separation" churns in a fortified enclave of gutiar fuzz and impending rhythms that drive heavily. Balance and Composure may wear their love for early 90's underground alt rock on their sleeves, but they are in no way merely a "throwback" band as much as they are an outfit who respects their influences, and pushes them forward into brash sonic terrortory with the us vs. the world ethos of geniune punk rock.

After self releasing their first EP "I Just Want To Be Pure" in 2008, followed by their "Only Boundaries" EP and split EP with Tigers Jaw both on No Sleep Records, Balance and Composure are now on the verge of releasing their debut full length "Separation" out May 10th, 2011 on No Sleep Records.

There is an abiding circle: one where romance and tragedy exist together and hope coincides with desperation as a coil in nature as much as the unseen. In this understanding lies the dark themes and bruising medium of O'Brother. Carrying the weight of the luminance and spacey textures from their 2009 EP, The Death of Day, the Atlanta, GA five some have grown into sounds of scorching heaviness and punctuated melodic interruptions that act as puzzles in-between the groaning feedback of Garden Window, the band's debut full length.

"The more we played the more we turned our amps up and the lower we tuned," O'Brother's lead singer/guitarist Tanner Merritt defined the soundscapes of Garden Window. "The loud songs we wanted louder and heavier, but the quiet songs we wanted to get better at too."
Garden Window displays more density, as the songs themselves bask in longer time frames, a dynamic intensity had to be obtained to create interest from listeners the whole way out. "We wanted curve balls," Merritt explained as the root behind the softer interludes found midway through the atmospheric explorations.

The voice of Garden Window grew from the nourishment of the road, a relentless schedule that brought them to share stages with the likes of Thrice, Circa Survive, Cage The Elephant, and Manchester Orchestra. "Touring is your biggest influence. The way you play, the way the band plays, the whole world shifts to the view from the road, even when home."
Though Garden Window is not a concept album, reoccurring themes mark their presence throughout each song as a metaphysical question runs through the album's veins, one of life and what it is perceived to be. "If something is real how could you become so disconnected from it?"
As writing began for Garden Window the band decided to let fans into the process of making an album, giving them live streaming video to the demo, tracking, and mixing of the album -- a process that when viewed through a lens can be strikingly tedious as bands have to stare into screens as much as the faithful. New material was teased and brought out only at keen times, leaving even the most silent attendee guessing where Garden Window was headed.

Close friends Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra stepped in as producers, creating not only an environment of comfort for O'Brother to stumble on discovery, but the two also served to help the band develop a more conscience presentation as Garden Window stepped into slow unfurling shades.
Always a band that makes albums rather than songs or thunderous quick timed anthems, O'Brother's Garden Window stands as a complex, yet elegant and elegiac, dance that can be felt beneath the skin. Even when O'Brother are at their most ethereal the reality of the ground stays in sight.
