Jimmies Chicken Shack
Jimmies Chicken Shack
Jimmie's Chicken Shack has been together since 1993. They have released 7 records, all of which have gone aluminum. They are a live band. They rock. They are from Annapolis and always will be. Their music has been called "muttrock" and "music for people with a.d.d". They are all super models and scholars. They also invented the Internet and socks.
Sweet Leda
Sweet Leda
Life is Sweet!

Powered by Julie Cymek’s sultry, commanding vocals and electrifying stage presence, Sweet Leda is taking the diverse mid-Atlantic music scene by storm as one of the most exciting and accomplished live acts on the rise. With its rich blend of new school funk, soul and pop, Sweet Leda’s heartfelt original music has been compared to Joss Stone, Janis Joplin, Maroon 5, Edie Brickell and even Led Zeppelin, yet the sound is unique enough to have earned the tag “sexy smooth rock and groove.”

Sweet Leda’s first full-length album, Need The Music, which was produced by Stephen Joseph Antonelli and mixed by Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, Allman Bros.), has received much love from critics, and a handful of the tracks can be heard on a variety of radio stations. Among the band’s many milestone achievements are: the Tri State Indie Music Awards Groupie’s Choice Award in 2012; being named MD/DC Band of The Year for 2011 and 2012; voted Best Emerging Artist DC/Baltimore in The Deli Magazine’s reader’s poll in 2011; writing the end-credit title track for the feature film Lovely Molly; sharing the stage with Jefferson Starship; performing at festivals with the likes of Citizen Cope, John Mayer, G Love, Cake, 311, Keb’ Mo’, Tedeschi Trucks and Lyle Lovett; being hand-picked by Allman Bros. drummer Butch Trucks to open for his band at the Roots Rock Revival Masters Camp earlier this summer; and gracing the Miller Lite Stage at Summerfest 2013 in Milwaukee.
Little Bird
Little Bird
A four piece band without a genre to call home, Little Bird is energetic and unpredictable; a group of guys that, while stepping outside the box, still keep the roots and basics of good-tasting music. A blend of funk, blues, and contagious grooves to make you move, known as “Annapolis Rock.” Little Bird started in 2009 with Jay Hurtt from Lothian, MD. He self-recorded and released 2 projects of his own. Four years later he meets James Rubush, Mike Ware, and Chris Elvidge. The full band portion of Little Bird had their debut performance January 2013.
The band released their first demo on July 4, 2013, entitled “American Spirits LP,” they led a small tour throughout the east coast over the summer and fall months playing with the likes of Long Miles (Philly), Dangermuffin (North Carolina), Rob Perna Band (Philly), and Bumpin Uglies (Annapolis) as well as local aritist such as Skribe, Pressing Strings, Harrison Cofer of the Dirty Names. More importantly, they want to remind people that music can still be fresh and different while also being organic and pure.
As they start to write new material for 2014, Little BIrd is aiming their vision towards new and innovative song structures with the focus on incorporating rhythm and melody in a loose and colorful sound.

[...] Off With Their Heads “Home” Minneapolis punk rockers Off With Their Heads release their latest album, “Home,” also celebrating their 10 year anniversary as a band this year. Though one of the most polished, concentrated efforts by the guys thus far, the singer Ryan Young hasn’t lost his punk angst. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune says “The harrowing first single, “Nightlife,” makes it sound as if Young outright fears the prospect of playing night after night (sample lyric: “I know I’m sick and I’m not right / I’m so [expletive] tired of living this life”). Young explained by phone, though, that the song is actually more about when he’s not on the road. “It can sort of freak you out when you go from playing 300 shows a year to being at home with someone who has to get up at 6 a.m. to go to work, and leads that normal kind of life,” Young explained, referring to his Los Angeles-based girlfriend of five years. Don’t miss these guys at Rams Head Live with Alkaline Trio and Bayside on May 17! [...]
