Q: How do I hear about shows?
A: Be the first to know by signing up for our email blast here on the website. We send out weekly updates every Thursday that include just announced shows, exclusive pre-sales and contests. Most shows are announced and updated on our website on Tuesday.
Or ‘follow us’ on Twitter (@ramsheadlive) or ‘like’ us on Facebook. We try to keep our patrons up to speed with low ticket warnings, on sale announcements, and changes to our shows via social media.
Q: Do I need ID to enter the venue?
A: An ID is only required if you plan on drinking alcohol. Because we are an all-ages venue we take checking IDs very seriously. In compliance with Maryland laws, anyone 21 or older who plans on drinking alcohol will have to show a valid, non-expired, government issued photo ID. Anyone without proper ID, regardless of age, will be treated as under 21 and not allowed to buy, hold or drink alcohol. This policy is strictly enforced and any violation will result in immediate ejection from the venue.
Q: Does Rams Head Live have seats? Is there wheelchair accessibility?
A: Unless a show is advertised as seated, our shows are general admission and standing room only. A very small number of bar stools and bleacher seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Patrons with special needs should call (410) 244-1131 in advance to make arrangements.
Q: What time does the band go on? Is there an opening act?
A: The time listed on your ticket is the door time, not the show time. Set times vary and typically are not announced till the day of the show. Please keep in mind that set times, as well as opening acts, are always subject to change without notice.
Q: What time should I get there to get a good place to see the show?
A: We like to think that there are no bad sight lines in the club, but if you’re one of those folks who needs to be right up front or along the balcony railing we suggest you be in line before doors open. Keep in mind that no matter how early you line up there may already be people ahead of you in line and you are not guaranteed any particular spots inside.
Or, head to Rock Star bar before the show. The Rock Star bar opens two hours before doors where you can enjoy food (during select performances) and drink specials plus a separate entrance to the show.
Q: Does the club offer food?
A: Yes, we have two food kiosks that offer quick food and drink options including burgers, pizza, nachos, pretzels, chicken tenders, hot dogs and french fries.
Q: How about drinks?
A: We have 5 full service bars located within the club offering a selection of draft & bottled beers along with your favorite spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.
Q: Do you have a dress code?
A: You must come dressed and you must wear shoes. Personal items such as pocket knives, pepper spray, flasks, laser pointers, outside food and drinks or anything that could be considered dangerous or contraband will not be allowed in the building. Purses and bags will be searched prior to entry.
Q: Do you have a coat check?
A: We do offer a coat check when the weather is cooler at $3 per coat, $5 per other item. During warmer weather there is not a place to check jackets or bags.
Q: What are your policies regarding photo/video/audio?
A: Photo and/or recording policies are at the bands discretion and change night to night. You may bring your camera with the understanding that you might need to check it with us for the duration of the show. Generally, point and shoot cameras are allowed with no flash photography.
